Q. What is the video resolution?
The default is 720P HD (1280x720) video. You can also choose to record in VGA 640x480 resolution.
Q. Why would I want to record in VGA instead of HD mode?
One of the main reasons is simply that VGA videos take up less space on a memory card, so if you're using a smaller memory card, you can save space by recording in VGA instead of HD.
Q. How long will the battery last?
The battery can last up to 7 days in standby mode, waiting to detect motion.
Q. How many hours of recording can I get on a full charge?
The camera can get 70-80 minutes of total recording on a full battery charge.
Q. What does the "auto overwrite" feature do?
This feature automatically overwrites the oldest files on the memory card if it fills up. This feature can be turned on or off as needed.
Q. Can this camera take still photos too?
Yes it can - you can set up the camera so it takes photos instead of video whenever motion is detected. This can help extend the battery life too.
Q. Does this camera record audio?
Due to federal laws regarding covert audio recording, this device records video only.
Q. What recording modes does this camera have?
The covert wireless mouse hidden camera records using motion activated recording, so whenever there is activity nearby, it will start recording.
Q. How does this "body heat" motion activation work?
Rather than traditional motion detection (which results in short battery life), body-heat motion activation detects the change in heat nearby, such as a person walking in front of the camera, and begins recording when a change is detected.
Q. How can I view the videos recorded on the mouse camera?
There are two ways - first is by connecting the camera directly to your computer using the included USB cable. You can also remove the memory card and insert it into your computer's card reader (if equipped).
