Up until about 2015, in order to stream a hidden camera you'd have to connect a USB receiver to your computer, leave your computer powered on 24/7, and video could only be streamed in standard quality.

This also makes setting up the camera easy too, because there are no network configurations or router settings to adjust - WiFi nanny cameras are finally plug and play.
When you pick out a WiFi hidden camera, the first thing to do is find a camera that blends in to your target environment. Most internet streaming cameras are AC powered, due to the amount of power it takes to stream live video, so you'll want to look for a place near a wall outlet. Some WiFi cameras can also be battery powered, however the battery life is usually pretty limited (about 2-3 hours), especially when the streaming video is in 720P or 1080P HD video.

Q. How do I view a live stream from one of these internet hidden cameras?
Almost all of our live streaming cameras stream to your iPhone or Android devices. We offer a free live streaming app available in both the App Store (for iOS devices) and the Google Play store (for Android devices). The apps are completely free, there are no fees to use them. At this time, most live streaming cameras stream to smartphones only, they do not stream to desktop or laptop computers (PC or Mac).
Q. Do I need any special router or network configuration to use one of these?
The only things you'll need is a broadband internet connection, and a wireless router. WiFi hidden cameras need a 2.4GHz wireless connection to connect to - most routers broadcast in either 2.4GHz, or 2.4GHz AND 5GHz connections, so when you set up your camera, make sure that you're connecting to the 2.4GHz signal.

Some nanny cameras do feature audio streaming/recording. This varies by camera, and can be enabled or disabled through the app in case you do or do not want to utilize audio recording. Laws can vary by jurisdiction, so before using a nanny camera with audio, make sure that it is legal to do so in your area.

Yes you can - our streaming app allows you to monitor multiple cameras at once. Just connect each camera to your WiFi network with the app, and then you can browse all the cameras at the same time via the app.

We recommend placing your hidden camera somewhere that gives it the best view of the area that you wish to monitor. For example, a living room camera might be best suited to be placed on a shelf.
