Frequently Asked Questions about Night Vision Cameras:
How Do Night Vision Cameras Work?
Night vision cameras work by using infrared night vision "sensors" to see in the dark. These sensors provide IR light so that the camera can see even up to 20 feet away in total darkness.
Are Night Vision Sensors Visible to the Human Eye?
There are two types of night vision IR sensors - visible and invisible. The visible kind emit a red "glow" that is common on security cameras - they are usually a little ring of red lights around the camera lens. The invisible kind are used on many of our covert cameras (such as the Outdoor Rock Hidden Camera and Electrical Box Hidden Camera). These do not emit any red glow or light.
Another reason night vision hidden cameras are so popular is because they allow you to see what's going on 24 hours a day.
