    • Q. How is the IR illuminator powered?
    The device can be either battery or AC powered. Included in the box is a power cable and wall charger for AC power. You can optionally purchase a battery pack for portable operation, or use an existing USB battery pack that you already have.
    Q. Does the device produce a visible light or red glow?
    There is no visible light coming from the device that can be seen by regular eyes. The light is infrared 940nm light which is also referred to as "no glow" illuminators because the light is only visible to the camera lens.
    Q. How exactly does the IR illuminator work?
    The device emits "light" that can only be seen by the camera lens. Think of it as using a flashlight in a dark room, where the light is only visible to the camera lens, not human eyes.
    Q. Which cameras is the device compatible with?
    You can use the IR illuminator with ALL of our hidden cameras, WiFi or non-WiFi. You can use them with cameras that do not have night vision, and you can use them with cameras that already have night vision built in.
    Q. What size area/room will this provide "light" for?
    This will provide sufficient lighting for up to approximately a 20x20 to 25x25 foot area or room.
    Q. Can I use multiple IR illuminators in the same room/area?
    Yes you can - if you have a very large area (or just want to add additional visibility) you can use multiple IR illuminators to help light up the room for the camera.
