Q. Where are the video files saved?
Videos are saved to the SD card (a 4GB card is included).
Q. How do I view my recorded video?
It's simple - just remove the SD card, insert it in your computer, and you'll be able to view the videos using any standard video player.
Q. Are there any lights, beeps, or noises to let someone know there is a hidden camera inside?
No there are not. Hidden camera operation is totally covert.
Q. What is auto-overwrite, and how does it work?
Auto-overwrite means that as the SD memory card fills up, the oldest files are deleted so that the newer files are saved. This ensures your card never runs out of space.
Q. What is the maximum size memory card I can use?
The maximum size Micro SD card you can use is 32GB. We recommend Class 10 SD Cards or higher for maximum performance.
Q. My video playback is choppy when I play back the files from the SD card. How do I fix this?
Playing back files directly from the SD card may result in choppy video if your computer has a slower USB connection. By copying the files to your computer's hard drive, you can ensure they play back smoothly.
Q. Can I view playback on a Mac?
Yes you can. You can play back the files on any Mac or PC computer. We recommend downloading VLC Media Player for file playback, but they should play on any standard media player.
Q. What viewing angle does the camera have?
The camera points out and down, and is intended to be mounted high up (such as above a doorway) so the camera is facing downward.
Q. Does this camera record audio too?
Because this camera is designed and assembled in the US it records video only.
Q. How long will the battery last?
The battery will last up to 30, 60, or 90 days of standby life (depending on the model). It can record 10, 20, or 30 hours continuously, also depending on the model.
Q. How do I charge the internal battery?
Use the included wall charger to recharge the internal battery.
