Q. Where are my recorded video files saved to? |
Video files can be saved to either the 320GB of internal hard drive memory, or to a removable SD card up to 32GB in capacity. |
Q. Does the DVR have a built in camera? |
The DVR itself is just that - a digital video recorder - there is no built in camera, a wired camera is needed to connect to the DVR to capture the video. |
Q. What wired cameras are compatible with this portable DVR unit? |
We offer approximately 10 different wired cameras, including a high definition button and screw camera that connects over HDMI. |
Q. What video resolution does the DVR record in? |
The DVR can record in resolutions from 320x240 all the way up to 1920x1080, depending on the camera that is connected to it. |
Q. Can I leave the DVR plugged into a wall outlet for continuous power? |
Yes you can leave the DVR plugged into a wall outlet if you'd like to use the DVR and a camera for stationary covert video recording. |
Q. How long will the battery last? |
With a regular standard resolution camera the battery will last about 180 minutes, and with an HD camera it can last approximately 120 minutes of recording on a full charge. |
Q. What does the tamper proof frame counter do? |
The frame counter stamp basically starts counting a 1 and goes up incrementally so you'll be able to see whether or not a video was edited by watching the little numbers in the corner of the video. |
Q. How does the password protection feature work? |
You can set the device so that a password is required to either power on the unit, or to connect it via USB to your computer, so that your recorded files cannot be accessed by anyone but yourself, or someone you give the password to. |

You can adjust several settings, including frame rate, video quality, recording resolution, video mode, and much more. |
